Brian and Christine are both born and raised in Winnipeg, MB and this too is where they met.
Christine worked many years for the Western Canada Lottery Corp (WCLC) and moved to Stettler, AB for a new role within the corporation, managing their Customer Care Dept. Brian left his job with Manitoba Highways to join Christine in AB and quickly gained employment with Carillion, Highway Maintenance. Brian later gained further experience in the oil and gas industry operating VAC Trucks, Combos, Hydro-Vacs, and Steamers. This eventually lead him leave the rat race and start his own business, to be his own boss and love what he does.
Brian has an extensive background and knowledge in small engine repair and vehicle mechanics (including ATVs, Snowmobiles, Travel Trailers, and Boats), general contracting and home repairs. He is very experienced in lawn care, snow removal, landscaping and tree removal. He is able and licensed to operate heavy equipment, with a Class 3 license, and holds several ticket certifications.
Brian has always helped out his fellow neighbors and friends in many aspects, from fixing their chainsaws to their farm equipment, feeding their cats to cows, helping out with people's yards and always willing to pick up a shovel to help clear some snow. He finally decided, however, to stop working for beer and make it a career.
Christine has history in sales, retail, the food industry and to make a little extra money on the side she would often be hired by friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to pet or house sit. Christine's full time career, however, was in the lottery industry (WCLC) in many aspects - retail rervices, troubleshooting lottery gaming equipment and network services, customer care, subscription services and call center management. Christine has since left her 27 year career with WCLC and is enjoying running her business with her husband and works full time at a local optometrist's clinic.
Over the years, Christine and Brian have made a home in downtown Stettler, got married in Alberta, made some great connections and friends and became a part of the community. Christine has volunteered with several non-profits within the town and Brian is currently a proud member of the Stettler Regional Fire Department.
Saddle Rock is the name of Christine's family cottage at Long Pine Lake, Ingolf, Ontario. The cottage itself is built on a solid granite rock that her father thought was shaped like a saddle. The island that is used for the company logo is the view from the cottage. A place Brian and Christine hope to one day retire to
